Missed Appointment Policy
Our goal is to provide quality, individualized mental healthcare in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience others who need access to care. We want to inform you of our policy regarding missed appointments.

Cancellation of an Appointment
In order to be respectful of other patients' medical needs, please be courteous and promptly call Empathy Therapy’s appointment line at (888) 832-9635 if you cannot attend an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who needs treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 72 hours in advance of your appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely medical care.
How to Cancel an Appointment
Please call (888) 832-9635 and leave a detailed message on our voicemail to cancel your appointment. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please leave your name and phone number. We will return your call promptly. For canceled appointments, refunds processed by our billing system typically take up to seven business days to complete and post to customer debit/credit card accounts, minus a $20.00 cancellation charge. To refund your credit card, we will need you to provide us with the last four digits of your credit card.
Late Cancellations
A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is canceled without 72-hour advance notice. Voicemail messages at our practice are date and time-stamped for your convenience.
No-Show Policy
A “no-show” is a patient who misses an appointment without canceling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the chart as a “no-show.”
